Huge drop in weight (1.4kg since yesterday)!!  Bizarre.  Let's see if it continues the downward spiral.  I hope it does as I want to get off the Attack phase!

Went to a kiddies birthday party this afternoon and remembered to take beef jerky to snack on instead of cake... BUT I did eat a birthday chocolate cupcake!  Oh dear... and drank some wine... uh oh....

This weekend is a bit of a write off :-(

Day 9 - Attack

Staring weight: 64.1kg / 141lbs
Today's weight: 64.9.kg / 143lbs
Weight GAIN: 0.8kg / 2lb

Slight weight loss noticed this morning even after having rice noodles and wine.

I think I've been really good today.  I even resisted the cake being offered around the office.  I sat there eating my rhubarb Muller lite instead....

Dinner wasn't too bad either except for the wine!

 Let's see what tomorrow brings!

Day 8 - Attack

Staring weight: 64.1kg / 141lbs
Today's weight: 65.kg / 143lbs
Weight GAIN: 0.9kg / 2lb - WTF??

Breakfast: scrambled egg & smoked salmon
Snack: strawberry Muller lite
Lunch: oatbran galette w/ reduced fat philly (can't get fat free in HK) & smoked salmon, toffee Muller lite
Snack: beef jerky
Dinner: vietnamese restaurant - Chicken Pho Bun - yes, contains rice noodles...
Water: 2.5ltr

What is going on??  My tummy is getting bigger :-(

I am going to give up soon.

Made the galette with 1.5tbsp of oatbran and 1.5tbsp of 0% fat greek yoghurt and 1 egg white.  Still yummy, just a bit smaller.

Evening update:  Ended up going to a vietnamese restaurant for dinner.  It is relatively healthy stuff but practically everything has rice noodles in it.  Oh - and I had a glass of wine!

Day 7 - Attack

Staring weight: 64.1kg / 141lbs
Today's weight: 64.4kg / 142lbs
Weight GAIN: 0.3kg / 1lb

Breakfast: turkey sausage
Snack: beef jerky
Lunch: oatbran galette w/ reduced fat philly (can't get fat free in HK) & smoked salmon, rhubarb Muller lite
Snack:
Dinner: turkey & miracle noodles, weight watchers strawberry mousse
Water: 2.5ltr

I was going to stop the attack phase today, but as I haven't lost the required 0.7kg I will continue the attack until I do so!  I really need to start taking this seriously or I'll never lose the weight.... sigh  BUT realised its TOM so that could be playing a part in this (or am I grasping at straws?)

Made a DELICIOUS oatbran galette with low fat Philadelphia and smoked salmon.  It was so filling.  I used the galette recipe from the Dukan UK website and it said to use 3 tbsp of oatbran.  Which I did.  Now I'm sure I read somewhere that for the attack phase you are to have no more than 2 tbsp??  Conflicting advice??  Will try it again tomorrow with just 2 tbsp and see how filling that one is.

Day 6 - Attack

Staring weight: 64.1kg / 141lbs
Today's weight: 64.5kg / 142lbs
Weight GAIN: 0.4kg / 1lb

Breakfast: turkey sausage
Snack: oatbran cookies
Lunch: turkey sausage, cottage cheese, vanilla Muller lite
Snack: beef jerky
Dinner: turkey & miracle noodles, weight watchers chocolate mousse
Water: 2.5ltr

Jeez - didn't think a little scone, cream and jam would cause so much damage!  Oh well - lesson learned.  Well maybe not since I had chocolate mousse for dessert - hahaha!

Anyway, to try to keep myself focussed I've added my 'official' weight loss plan to the top of my blog page so I can remind myself of the end goal.  According to Dr Dukan, my weight should be consolidated by Christmas Day.  Now isn't that the worst (or best) luck?  I'll have got my weight sorted and then blow it on Christmas dinner!

I must say, the Miracle Noodles are yummy!  I thought they would be a bit bland but they really do soak up the flavours of the rest of the dish and they actually taste just like rice noodles.  I will be ordering more of these and then can add them to most dishes.  They have 0 carbs, 0 calories and 0 fat - worth their weight in gold ;-)  Go buy some now!!

Day 5 - Attack

Staring weight: 64.1kg / 141lbs
Today's weight: 63.6kg / 140lbs
Weight LOSS: 0.5kg / 1lb

Breakfast: scrambled eggs and salmon
Snack: oatbran cookies
Lunch: turkey taco pie
Snack: beef jerky
Dinner: roast chicken and a scone with cream and jam - damn it!
Water: 2ltr

I was having such a good day today, but my sweet tooth got the better of me.  I wonder whether my weight will jump up again after having the forbidden carbs and cream?

Also, I didn't cook tonight as I had leftovers, so I have no idea what I am going to do for lunch tomorrow.  I hope I don't blow it...

Day 4 - Attack

Staring weight: 64.1kg / 141lbs
Today's weight: 64.2kg / 141lbs
Weight GAIN: 0.1kg

Breakfast: turkey sausage, yoghurt cake
Snack: nothing
Lunch: chinese lunch - mainly meat and prawns, 1 beer
Snack: beef jerky
Dinner: roast chicken
Water: 1ltr

Glad to see the scales heading south after Friday's lapse!

So, today we were at the beach with friends and had lunch at the beachside chinese restaurant.  Even though noodles and rice was ordered, I did refrain by just choosing dishes that were pure protein.  BUT I managed to counteract that with a beer!  I'm so weak-willed....

Day 3 - Attack

Staring weight: 64.1kg / 141lbs
Today's weight: 64.9kg / 142.8lbs
Weight GAIN: 0.8kg / 1.8lbs

Breakfast: nothing
Snack: nothing
Lunch: turkey sausage, oatbran cookie
Snack: beef jerky
Dinner: turkey taco pie
Water: 2.5ltr

I am so surprised that last night's indulgence resulted in huge weight gain.  What a wake up call!!  So today, I have been good and just eaten protein.  But this weekend is a bit of a non-starter.  Tomorrow we are going to a chinese restaurant for lunch....  Next week will be better, I'm sure!

Anyway, today I researched a few dukan diet recipies from fellow bloggers and made a lovely turkey taco pie.  So yummy!  The oatbran cookies are really delicious so I made quite a few to keep in the biscuit tin!

I'm definitely getting more inspiration from other duken bloggers and already feel that this 'diet' could last the distance.  I just need to curb the alcohol!

Day 2 - Attack

Staring weight: 64.1kg / 141lbs
Today's weight: 64.1kg / 141lbs
Weight loss: 0

Breakfast: scrambled eggs & bacon
Snack: too busy to eat!
Lunch: pesto chicken, turkey sausage, muller light yoghurt
Snack: beef jerky
Dinner: chicken fajitas
Wine:  way too much! And Sangria with dinner...
Water: 3.5ltr

Yesterday was not a good day to start the Dukan Diet.  Today I had a wine tasting session, which kind of goes against the 'no alcohol' rule... ho hum.  I think I will have to extend the attack phase to 6 days instead of 3 to make up for it ;-)

I've noticed that all this protein makes me feel very full.  I sometimes don't want to eat the snack, but I eat it anyway and I think this helps with portion control at main meals.

However, after sampling many delicious (and some not so delicious!) wines, I felt I could eat a horse.  I don't think i will have the courage to weigh myself tomorrow :-(

Day 1 - Attack!

Today is the first day of my Dukan Diet.  I've been reading lots of other blogs on this diet and it seems to work!  So, I have approx 4.5kg / 10lbs to lose and am kick starting it with the attack phase - protein, protein and more protein!

Starting weight: 64.1kg / 141lbs

Breakfast: scrambled eggs and smoked salmon
Snack: oatbran cookie and a Muller light strawberry yoghurt
Lunch: pesto chicken & spicy garbanzo beans (not sure if the beans were allowed, but surely they are protein?)
Snack: beef jerky & a turkey sausage
Dinner: beef carpaccio, red snapper & scallops
Water: 3ltr

Felt quite full all afternoon, but had the snack out of habit as I usually have a Cadbury's fruit and nut bar in the afternoon!  The turkey sausage was suprisingly tasty ;-)  You can buy them ready cooked in ThreeSixty supermarket - perfect for keeping in the office fridge.

Roll on tomorrow!
